In the spring of 1973, Chrysler Corp released some specially equipped models to boost mid-model-year sales. Touted as the "Gold Sticker Values", these special models could only be had as the package specified, with the possible addition of optional equipment.
There was a Plymouth "Gold" Duster, a Chrysler Newport "Navajo" special and this Plymouth Fury special.
The 1973 Fury Special boasted special upholstery on split-back bench seat, copper-red shag carpeting, white vinyl top and dark chestnut metallic color. The chromed road wheels seen here were an option. It came standard with the 318 cui V8 engine but the 360, the 400 and the 440 cui powerplants were optional.
